The town of Kopychyntsi in the Ternopil region and the city of Bozeman (Montana, USA) have officially become partner cities. The parties signed the intercity cooperation agreement as part of the US government’s Open World programme.
As the US Embassy in Ukraine reported, the partnership is the result of an international exchange held in September with the support of the US Embassy in Kyiv, the US Congress Office for International Leadership (COIL), American Councils for International Education and the Cities4Cities platform.
During the visit, representatives of the Kopychyntsi and Bozeman communities discussed and expanded cooperation in a number of key areas. These include economic development, education, support for veterans, emergency response, technology development, attracting investment and other fields.
The US Embassy stresses that it supports the development of partnerships between American and Ukrainian communities. Such initiatives promote the exchange of experience, showcase American innovation and expertise, and open up new opportunities for American partners to take part in Ukraine’s reconstruction and long-term development.
The new agreement between Kopychyntsi and Bozeman is meant to become the basis for joint projects, stronger international ties and mutually beneficial cooperation between the communities of the two countries.
